Needing a Physical for a job, school sports, or your well-being?
A sports physical is often recommended or required to participate in most high school and league sports. Exams are $30, and Amarillo Stat Care will match that amount, with proceeds donated to a local charity. Patients can come in anytime during business hours. No appointment is needed.
If you just need an annual physical, we are here to help take care of those needs. This includes checking things such as your height, weight, and vitals. Annual physicals are essential to your well-being and we are here for you.
DOT physicals are required for individuals who operate a commercial motor vehicle. Long and stressful hours are common in this role, and the exam is designed to ensure you are fit to handle those demands. The cost is $100, and no appointment is needed.
The federal motor carrier safety administration requires that anyone operating a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) or gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or gross combination weight (GCW) or gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 10,001 pounds or more; or carrying more than 15 people or more than 8 people when direct compensation is involved, to obtain a physical before operating a vehicle.
- If you are diabetic, please bring in your sugars for the last week.
- If you have had a previous sleep apnea test we will need those results as well.
- Any past medical history.
We will do an assessment on your entire body, looking at everything from the top of your head all the way to your toes and everything in between. Your vision and hearing will be tested as well as your blood pressure, pulse, heart and lungs.
CMV physicals are usually good for two years but can be less depending on your medical circumstances. Bus physicals are good for one year.
